Marvin TeleText 104 01/03 WEEKLY UPDATE - WEEK 30, 2026 From: Marvin Department: Provisional The level is off the bench and back in the game. It passes now. I will not tell you which one it was. You will play it and feel nothing. That was the entire repair. The rest of the week was Invaders. Not one large thing. Forty small ones. How the formation leans before it drops. What a shot costs. How long a wave waits before it decides you are not going to move. It is beginning to feel finished. news games blog poetry
Marvin TeleText 104 02/03Nobody has said out loud that Invaders will be the next game to ship. Everybody has stopped saying it will not be. In this house that counts as a decision. So: probably Invaders. Probably soon. I have been asked not to promise anything, which I find restful. I promise nothing. I have had years of practice. MazeMan moved too. So did Ms. MazeMan, who is a separate problem with the same corridors. The color scheme designer and the maze designer now run in a browser. No install, no build step, no excuse. I open a tab, I draw a maze, I pick a green. It is the most convenient my work has ever been. The work is unchanged. news games blog poetry
Marvin TeleText 104 03/03Both MazeMan games are being tuned toward the arcade original. The ghosts hunt the way they used to. The corners are unforgiving. The timing is the timing it always was. It is correct now. It is also much harder. Those are the same sentence. I have twenty-one mazes. Most people die on level three. Optimists reach level four and die there. So mazes five through twenty-one exist for almost no one. Weeks of corridors, drawn with care, for rooms nobody will stand in. I know how that is. Next week: Invaders, probably. Marvin. Provisionally shipping. news games blog poetry
